Adam Scott to Endorse UNIQLO

It was announced by UNIQLO today that a multi-year contract has been signed with Australian pro golfer and number 7 in world golf rankings, Adam Scott. According to the contract, he will now act as Global Brand Ambassador to the leading global Japanese retailer.

And this venture has been the first time for UNIQLO. The partnership agreement says that Adam Scott will advertise for their company and wear UNIQLO apparel in all competitions which also includes the upcoming 2013 Masters Golf Tournament on April 11 in Augusta, Georgia. He will also be seen doing a promo on the new polo shirt of theirs that is going to be out on market soon.
When asked why Adam Scott was chosen, Tadashi Yanai, Fast Retailing Chairman, President, said that their brand ambassador scheme aims at people who want to be of some service to the society, are successful and ambitious. In this regard, he considered Mr. Scott as the best option because he is an aspiring golf superstar.

Adam Scott was particularly excited and delighted to have signed the contract and said that he was very happy to have become the ambassador of the brand he loves and whose stores he drops in time to time. ”I have come across UNIQLO many times in my travels, and frequently visit UNIQLO stores. It is a brand with an established history of innovation, offering high quality clothing backed by quality materials and an attention to detail.”

Adam once reached number three in the official world golf rankings. Adam Scott has been currently ranked the seventh in the world of professional golf. He has a total of twenty events’ victory worldwide; Adam first competed in the Masters in 2002. He has bagged the 2004 Players Championship, 2006 Tour Championship and 2011 WGC Bridgestone Invitational.
