Kaymer looking to improve

Twenty seven year old and former world number one Martin Kaymer has announced this week that he intends to play in the BMW PGA championship.

The German golfer is said to be excited about the competition has he takes the field in what will be a tough contest as golfers such as Luke Donald, Ian pouter , Lee Westwood and US Open winner Rory McIlroy will be joining Kaymer on the field of play.

Kaymer was shocked by England’s Richard Finch who ranked two hundred and eighteenth in the world pull of a miraculous victory at the world match play event in Finca Cortesin in Spain, denying the German a play in the last sixteen.

With this loss in mind The German born in Mettman is looking forward to improving in the competition ahead of a rider cup and hopes to collect some much needed world ranking points which are up for grabs in the European tour tournament. Kaymer has had ten European tour victories in his career and is certainly a strong candidate for this BMW PGA championship match-up. Kaymer was said be glad other top golfers will be at the event which will make a victory so much sweeter should he be victorious.

Having made a shaky end of last year, without ever really getting out of the blocks until January this year and since has been on much better form, finishing well in the Accenture match play championship and coming 7th at the Maybank Malaysian open. The German Golf pro usually puts in a strong performance on English territory and so hopes to challenge at the top of the competition hoping to gain his fourth top ten tournament finish of this year.
